Living and growing up in The Netherlands allowed me to develop a style that is inspired by a lot of different cultures.
I love to play with flavours from different parts of the world. It's not just the food that inspires me, but also design, nature and lifestyle.
Some of my signature dishes are inspired from the Asian style of cooking, especially the Japanese cuisine. Combining this with the simplicity but also the complexness of the different ingredients I work with.
'Simplicity but magnificent performance'
Simplicity isn't plain or simple. Just like Steve jobs said: “Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.” I look at ingredients and dishes with this philosophy in mind.
It starts with beautiful products and knowledge of combining them to perfectly express them in a well balanced dish.
A pure and simple kitchen. But it is not as easy as it seems!
My dishes are complex but recognizable. Products in season from the best quality all over the world.
